Hot Doggiez Woggiez

So who saw Doggie Woggiez Poochie Woochiez?  Even though I had to watch with the plot synopsis of HOLY MOUNTAIN in front of me in order to follow along (um, and I still don’t think I got it) this was easily the best pet retelling of a cult classic I’ve ever seen.

Speaking of Doggiez, we are so dang close to serving up delicious hot dogs — with kimchi!!!  and rolls made just down the street at Bakery Moderne!!!! — and other tasty treats.  By the time we open THE HUNGER GAMES on 3/23 you’ll be able to relish some tasty grub with your cold beer.  It seems like such a simple thing, but having a meal while watching a movie in a theatre makes it really hard to go back to seeing films at your regular mall multiplex.  The first time I saw a film with a drink in my hand and a basket of fried pickles in front of me it seriously changed my life.

Ryan and Clay are putting the finishing touches on the menu.  Check out the Popcorn Dude who tops himself for your enjoyment.  Adorable and slightly perverse — precisely how I like my anthropomorphized food items!

Tim has absolutely perfected our housemade pizza crust.  I would say it rivals any pizza joint in town, to the extent that we are willing to throw down in a pizza-off.  In our spare time, ya know.

Our menu will be posted in the next couple of days but here’s a sneak peek at our specialty pizzas:

The Godbold — pulled pork and sweet pickles

Zaat — fried egg pie

Black Lagoon Supreme — sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, roasted garlic and olives

Bold New Pizza of the South — riNOTta, roasted garlic, roasted tomatoes, onion, mushrooms, olives, hummus

Ooh that Smelly Pie — housemade sauerkraut and swiss

Cowford Pie — mixed mushrooms

We are having a lot of fun.

Oh — and one more thing!  Too often movies come and go without my having a chance to watch them, and it was only a fluke that I got to watch WANDERLUST last night.  I hadn’t planned to see it, but I’m so glad I did!  Give it a shot while it’s here this week.

In fact, go ahead and check out our entire packed schedule, because as of next Friday it ain’t going to be nothing but HUNGER GAMES for a good while.  Not that I’m bothered by this, I keep sneaking in to watch the trailer over and over.
