Happy Birthday, Ms. Taylor! Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

One of our, shall we say, more enthusiastic patrons, Erin Tuzuner, was suggesting the other night that we should screen a film on Elizabeth Taylor’s birthday which is coming up Feb 27th.

After some conversation back and forth on which film to play, the hunt began for available 35MM prints (only the best for Ms. Taylor) After several hours of hunting a decision was made; we are pleased to present a film that includes one of Ms. Taylor’s most deliciously disturbed performances, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, directed by Mike Nichols (his first!).

So join Erin and all of us for some of the best expressions of contempt, maliciousness, disdain, humiliation, acrimony, and venom ever hurled upon the silver screen and we shall wash it all down with copious amounts of champagne cocktails and cake! Happy Birthday Ms. Elizabeth Taylor!
